CEO & Founder
Dakota has been gardening and studying farming as a hobby since he was a young child. He recalls gardening with his mother as a young boy and eventually starting a garden on his own. After graduating high school, Dakota attended Purdue University to pursue an engineering degree. While there he learned about alternative ways of farming such as indoor farming, hydroponics, and aquaponics. He combined his passion for alternative farming with his passion for the environment and nutrition to try to find solutions for today's food problems. He started by designing a hydroponic system and studying agriculture on his own. After a few years, he founded Iron Roots Farm where he can provide highly nutritious, sustainable food to the community around him.
Co-Owner & Marketing Manager
Brooke has been a part of the healthy living lifestyle for most of her life. She grew up running around barefoot in her grandfather’s gardens and enjoyed the blessing of being apart of a family that was focused on consuming natural and organic meals. After graduating high school, she attended Liberty University and received her degree in English & Writing. Now she spends her time enjoying the family farm and writing on the side. She's always had a creative eye and enjoys presenting the farm's content and products in new and exciting ways.
